Lake Shelbyville is a Corp of Engineer's lake that covers 11,100 acres surrounded by 172 miles of wooded and open shoreline. The lake is a haven for water sports and privided good fishing opportunities for the angler. On Lake Shelbyville there are three marinas, several recreational areas that offer boat launch facilities, beaches, camping, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, picnic areas and public hunting grounds. The renowned Inn at Eagle Creek is located just a few miles away. Other nearby attractions include the heart of Amish Country in the Arthur area and live stage productions at the Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan.
